Taxes
Personal income tax is progressive and low: 0% up to EUR 3,000, 8% up to EUR 5,400 and 10% above EUR 5,400, effectively near flat with a 10% top rate. On a gross income of EUR 54,000 the effective burden is around 14%, including a 5% employee pension contribution. Corporate tax is 10%, capital gains are taxed at 10%, VAT is 18%. There is no net wealth tax and no inheritance tax. Note: tax residents are taxed on worldwide income, not only on Kosovo-source income.
Residency and visas
Residence runs through a residence permit, with a subsequent path to citizenship. As a tax resident you are taxed on your worldwide income.

Foreigners may own real estate, in some cases subject to reciprocity conditions that depend on the country of origin.
