Accessibility Statement

Libaros is committed to making libaros.com and our reports accessible to as many people as possible, including users with disabilities. This statement describes our current conformance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA, known issues, and how to report problems.

Conformance status

Libaros aims to conform to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, the standard required under the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882, applicable since 28 June 2025).

We have self-evaluated the site using automated tools (axe DevTools, Lighthouse), manual keyboard navigation tests and screen-reader spot checks (VoiceOver on macOS). External audit by a specialist firm is planned within 12 months of launch.

What is accessible

All pages currently support:

  • Skip-to-content links on every page
  • Visible keyboard focus indicators with 3px green outline + glow (WCAG 2.4.7)
  • Full keyboard navigation, no mouse required for any flow
  • Semantic HTML (headings, landmarks, labels, ARIA where needed)
  • Live regions for dynamic content (calculator progress, score animation)
  • Respect for prefers-reduced-motion, score animations become instant
  • Respect for prefers-contrast, increased contrast available
  • Colour-independent information, score deltas use icons + labels, not colour alone
  • Locale-specific lang attribute on the html element
  • Native form labels and validation messages

Known accessibility issues

We are aware of the following limitations and are working to address them:

  • PDF reports are typeset for print and not yet tagged for full screen-reader compatibility. We provide an accessible HTML alternative on request, email support@libaros.com.
  • Some third-party widgets (Stripe Checkout, Mollie hosted form) follow their own accessibility standards over which we have limited control. Both providers self-certify WCAG 2.1 AA conformance.
  • Country flag emojis are decorative and have aria-hidden, but the underlying emoji rendering depends on the user's operating system. Country names are always provided as readable text.

How to report problems

If you encounter accessibility problems, please contact us:

  • Email: accessibility@libaros.com
  • We aim to respond within 5 business days
  • Include the URL, your browser/assistive tech version, and a description of the issue

Enforcement procedure

If our response is unsatisfactory, you may file a complaint with the Dutch enforcement authority for the EAA: the Autoriteit Consument & Markt (ACM) or, for matters concerning public sector accessibility, with the Authority for Inspecting Digital Government (Logius).
